My dedication to the task propels me to continually strive for the highest quality of work, while ensuring that deadlines are met. I can engage in any project phase through my strong organizational skills and efficient workflows.
Earning my bachelor's degree in Media Arts and Animation has provided me with the opportunity to improve my expanding skill set, while fostering my growing sense of creativity and design. I've been working professionally since 2012, at various studios and organizations located in Minnesota.
Currently I'm an Instructional Designer for Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS).
What software do you use?
Articulate Rise and Storyline are the applications I use for developing e-learning courses.
Premiere Pro and After Effects are the programs I use for video development.
Illustrator and Photoshop are what I use to create graphics.
Audition is what I use to edit audio files.
Blender and Maya are applications I've worked with for 3D modeling. I've also dabbled in Cinema 4D and 3ds Max Design.
What's your process like?
I always approach my work by backwards planning. I first identify the deadline along with the necessary tasks to complete the project. From there, I determine project milestones and form a calendar to guide development.
With my experience as an instructional designer, I've learned to incorporate the ADDIE model into my work process. “ADDIE” stands for Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate.
Check out my Project Planning for Animation resource for an in-depth look into my process.
Do you work freelance?
